A new beginning!

August 26, 2022 What's new?

After many years dedicated to this project, memoFolio is ready to launch again! Yes, again!

Since its initial launch, we discovered and resolved several minor glitches, worked on the user interface and added more features.

In addition, as it is personal data and despite the security in place, many are reluctant to use an application on the internet. That’s why, in our mission to motivate parents to leave a trace of themselves, we have removed the blog from the site and made it a separate entity: https://memofolio.blog.

You will find content to get your project off to a good start. Every week, we will add new content to keep you motivated and inspire you to continue writing YOUR story your way.

But what is memoFolio?

The mission of memoFolio is to help parents gather and collect their memories to compose their chronologies of life, event by event, to visualize all of their journeys. From these significant moments, guide them to tell THEIR stories to leave a trace of themselves to future generations.

It all started with intense research to establish a family genealogy. We quickly realize how little we know about the lives of our ancestors. Unless we are lucky enough that one of our ancestors wrote their biography or accumulated old records, many of us will only know the date of birth, marriage or death of our ancestors. Here is what sums up their life stories.

No need to dive deep into generations to hit the bottom

We have fond memories of our parents’ lives based on what they passed on to us. Some memories of the life of our grandparents, but older than that, they are only a few dates.

How about your story now? We often find a glimpse of the past, a brief memory of our childhood or adolescence that we have forgotten. Why not store those events. They are, after all, what defines who we are. Don’t you think your children and future generation might be interested in these stories?

If you had the opportunity to introduce yourself to future generations and guide them, even inspire them by sharing your life experiences. What would you have liked to learn from the lives of your ancestors?

What about your children? As a parent, we remember many memories about them. Don’t you think they might like to read them in the future and continue adding their own experiences?

Take some time, reflect on your past, and start your inner exploration, not to reopen old wounds but to:

  • Learn more about yourself with a more mature look at past events.
  • Better prepare for the future by defining the rules to avoid repeating these mistakes or identifying the triggers.
  • To relive these positive moments to appreciate their benefits even more.
  • Make peace with the past by bringing it out with all the emotions attached to give them a new perspective.

And if you don’t want to relive your past, no problem! Start writing your trip from now. Always interesting to reread it later.

Have a good trip!

About Sylvain Latulippe

Collector of moments and not things, no wonder that I have a passion for photography. Being the oldest in the family and a father of 2 daughters, I realized quickly how much time passed by and how quickly our memories fades. I started the memoFolio project as a tool to bring together all these memories. And from the most impacting one, help people write THEIR story to leave a trace of life experiences to their future generations.
